After seven years of research and numerous micro and macro trials, a completely new vinification technology was developed in the early ‘90s, leading to the launch of Vranac under the specific name ‘Pro Corde’ (meaning 'for the heart') in 1993. The production of Pro Corde involved traditional maceration and vinification, enhanced by a special technological procedure that increased the content of proanthocyanidins, natural compounds found in grapes known for their ability to bind free radicals and provide health benefits.
The wine has a dark ruby color and presents pronounced fruity aromas, predominantly blackberry and cherry. It is well-balanced, with noticeable tannins that harmonize beautifully with the tones of ripe red fruit. Pro Corde is full-bodied and long-lasting.
PLANTAZE Pro Corde pairs ideally with high-quality young beef, such as beefsteaks, roasted lamb, and game meats, as well as poultry dishes like roasted goose or duck. It complements spicy goulash and grilled tuna fish exceptionally well, and it’s perfect with mature hard cheeses.
